📡 Charter Spectrum owes $7B, Weird Al, and the passing of Nichelle Nichols - This Geek in Review for 2022-08-05

Charter Spectrum probably needs to looking into their HR department
It turns out that Charter Spectrum hired a tech that wasn’t quite all there. After a service call, the next day he borrowed a company van to go back to the house and rob the elderly lady that lived there. Things didn’t go as planned, so he murdered the woman and went on a spending spree with her credit cards.
Should Charter Spectrum be liable? A jury thought so.
Daniel Radcliffe looks amazing as Weird Al
Daniel Radcliffe is becoming one of my favorite actors. Instead of being type cast as Harry Potter, he’s been willing to take on all sorts of roles, and I can’t wait for this one. The Weird Al Biopic is coming in November.
Uhura’s final transmission
Nichelle Nichols passed away this past week. Best know for her role as Lt. Nyota Uhura, she also worked hard to recruit Black and female astronauts into NASA. Time to watch some Star Trek!
